An adventurous group of women showed up to hone their outdoor skills at Northeastern Wisconsin Outdoors’ annual Women’s Outdoor Skills Event on August 20, 2011. We had good food, great comradery, and the fun of learning and participating in activities such as shooting and archery clinics, self-defense lessons. Special thanks to our activity leaders, donors, and to the Fox Valley Muzzleloaders for allowing us to use their facilities again this year.
Intro to Archery Brings Out Young Archers
The weather was warm and the arrows were flying freely at the Annual Introduction to Archery Event at Twin Cities Rod and Gun Club. Northeastern Wisconsin Outdoors members once again helped out with this fun archery event. NASP instructors were on hand to provide guidance to the novice archers, while those with more experience could practice to sharpen their skills. Everyone enjoyed a day of shooting, food, friends, prizes and fun.
NEW Outdoors Volunteers Aid Free Fishing Day

Northeast Wisconsin Outdoors volunteers helped at the Free Fishing Day at Jefferson Park in Menasha in early June. Sponsored by Heckrodt Wetlands Reserve and A Fish Tale and More, the fishing clinic was for kids ages 3 to 12. Thatsa Lotsa Pasta and Pie Event a Success!

Our pasta and pie fundraiser in May was a great success. Funds were raised which will be used immediately for our Women’s Outdoor Skills workshop coming in August. Pasta Event Planned for May 10th
Northeast Wisconsin Outdoors is planning a pasta fundraiser at Sabre Lanes in Menasha, on Tuesday, May 10th, 2011. We are hoping to feature 12 kinds of pasta and 12 kind of sauces. Details are being worked on. Please check back.

Whoops of joy at wielding 4-foot chainsaws, and shouts of triumph at hitting the mark in the tomahawk toss echoed through the woods near New London on Saturday.
